About the job

Wellcome Collection (museum and library) are looking for a creative and experienced leader to manage their digital editorial content strategy, to develop and curate content that engages audiences online.

As Digital Content Manager, you will lead the digital editorial team for wellcomecollection.org as Wellcome builds new global audiences and deepen engagement with our existing public and professional audiences. Working with researchers, artists and curators in a friendly and creative environment, you will explore topics as varied as the power of electricity, the relationship between graphic design and health, and the history of voguing. You will keep innovating and improving to build a free and unrestricted digital space where more people than ever can engage, be inspired and explore the connections between science, medicine, life and art.

You will:

  • evolve and implement a strategy for digital content (including social media and in-venue digital content) to guide, inspire, amuse and provoke a public and professional audience
  • manage the Digital Content team and oversee the production and promotion of timely, relevant content
  • create and manage relationships with external partners to increase the impact of our collections and activities
  • monitor targets and performance indicators, and conduct content-focused evaluation of online performance
  • work with colleagues to ensure that Wellcome Collection’s digital experience is of a high standard

  • experience as a leader who nurtures teams to experiment and think imaginatively
